About the Band

The Band

The guys met in Peru, each of them on a spiritual awakening. They followed their shaman into their Iawaska trip – and as they were peaking, they all telepathically linked and talked to Joe about starting a Clash Tribute. He seemed pretty cool with it…”Grab your grandpa, and go kick some ass!” Strummer said. And so they did. They’re even keeping it so real that they have kicked a few drummers out. 😜

Seriously though…
The band has been playing together since 2017. They’ve played all over California – The Viper Room in Hollywood, Garden Grove Amphitheater, San Diego House of Blues, and tons of local joints, including Full Circle Saloon, Ramona Mainstage, and Brick x Brick – to name just a few. They’ve been on hiatus due to Covid restrictions and the original drummer moving out of state (James, we love you brother), but are back up to full speed with a new drummer and are ready to Rock the Casbah!

DRUMS

Ross began his playing career as a drummer with his mother’s pots and pans on the kitchen floor at age 3, where he grew up in Vermont.

With his first drum kit in 2nd grade and a few lessons later, he was playing in his elementary school band, then on to junior high jazz band, marching band, percussion ensemble, and orchestra.

While in junior high, with all these bands he met and banded together with some seniors in high school and started a punk band.  From there on, he’s played in many other genres of music, such as reggae, soul, funk, blues, rockabilly, metal, and classic rock.

After 37 years of playing, he still has his original Zildjian cymbals from 4th grade which sound better than evah!
